Thoughts Are Energy
You don’t have to be Sheldon Cooper (of The Big Bang Theory!) to know that all things in this universe are made up of energy – even thoughts! If you carry around negative thoughts, the negative energy that accompanies those thoughts can result in harmful or undesirable consequences, to include pain, disease, stress, and poor sleep to name a few. On the flip side, positive thoughts can, and do, lead to desirable outcomes, such as improved health, better relationships, improved self-esteem, good sleep, etc. Like the ripples generated by a stone tossed into a pond, events create ripples in your subconscious mind that expand throughout your consciousness. How can one still those waters then?
As any certified hypnotherapist can tell you, the essence of hypnotherapy is to guide clients to more positive thoughts through a variety of methods. The secret, as you know if you follow my blog, is to access the subconscious mind where meaningful change takes place. It is in that subconscious mind where long-term memories are stored which often affect our present selves, but to access it, one must bypass what is known as the “critical factor,” the delineation between the conscious and unconscious mind. If you do not bypass the critical factor, all you are really doing is talking to yourself.
People ask “Why can’t I just do affirmations or meditation then?” Well, you can, but serious practitioners of meditation know that it often takes a long time to achieve truly deep quietness, and when you do, the feeling is magnificent. Most of us never get to that point because, and I am sure you can relate to this, we cannot keep stray thoughts from interfering with our meditative concentration.
In hypnotherapy, the practitioner “takes ahold” of your concentration by guiding you quickly and efficiently, often through guided imagery, but always in some way where you achieve an “altered state of consciousness” – which by the way is the very definition of hypnosis! Once you are in that state, you can experience that magnificent feeling akin to deep meditation. And if you work with an experienced hypnotherapist, you not only achieve hypnosis, but work can be done which allows you to begin to make the changes in your life you truly seek. That is hypnotherapy, “therapy through the use of hypnosis.”
If negative thoughts, memories, or fears are impacting your life in an undesirable way, consider the natural, efficient and effective process of hypnotherapy to help you make the changes that may turn your life in a positive direction and still the waters of your mind. July 24, 2014The mind is so powerful but sadly not all of us can control what we think or to always think positive! I can see how hypnotherapy can help with this… and with everything.
Cannot wait to see you again!
